so much made explicit?

Hi Sam,
Laurel sent me a Li-Young Lee poem(Eating Together)and suggested I visit your blog. I am glad I did. I enjoy reading your thoughts about the poems/poets you have listed. I also love Lee's attention to detail in the poem.
I just lost my dad in April and have not being doing well. The poem was comforting in a way as it shows the family continuing to move on but it also indicates how each person's role has changed somewhat. That is so true and adjusting to these new roles we all play and to our loss has proven to be quite overwhelming (what an understatement!).
I am going to The Dodge Poetry Festival and was hopeful that Lee would be there, but I don't see his name on the list for this year. I am looking forward to hearing so many of the other poets who will be there (this will be my first trip to Dodge).
You live in TN? I'm in western KY--about 100 miles north of Nashville.
I think I'll visit your site more, Sam. I have enjoyed reading it this morning.
From rainy KY,

Maggie, thanks for the comments. I envy your trip to the Dodge Festival. I do live in TN, near the Northeastern corner.
