some days are stones...

Finding your book for sale at a rare books site,
Between the Covers, does not make your day.

But it probably does tell you everything you need to know about the writing.

Sam, I disagree. You also need to know that Necessary Motions is one of the most life-informing books in my library, and that I have read it straight through at least once a year since it was published.

One time I found an autographed copy Better of Travel in some used rare book store in NYC and they were selling it for $145. I don't know if some sucker bought it, but I wish I could get some royalties on that. :)

Thanks, James. I appreciate your support of my work.

And Collin, it's the autographed part that gets me. There's another story completely - the book, in some sort of a close way, comes to the reader, then goes back into the world ... another journey.

Not to be an obnoxious "on the bright side" person, but...as a used-book seller, I have to say it's rare for a book of poetry to be valued that highly, price-wise. For what it's worth, I think it is a sign that your work is recognized as meaning a lot to people.
