"I Want You" has always been one of my favorites...though, for years, I thought the Abbey Road LP I'd bought--25 cents, I believe, at a garage sale, no cover was broken, since it ended so abruptly--now I'm inclined to think that it was Lennon's answer to San Francisco--with the sudden cut indicating a jam that might have gone on to ballroom length....

I like these, too. Of the three, Happiness is a Warm Gun is my favorite. I like so many by the Beatles all the way from their bowler haircut days to the big turning point Sgt Pepper album days.

mmmm hmmm.

My 12 y/o daughter is really into the Beatles and "Happiness is a Warm Gun" is her absolute fave. I have Abbey Road and Sgt. Pepper's on vinyl and I just bought The White Album on CD two months ago for me and my girl.

How in the world was I missing that one for so long?

Thanks, Pris & Clare. "Happiness" is nice showcase for Lennon's wit.
