He will be missed. He was a national treasure.
Some of his best stuff was later, too. "The Verdict" and "Nobody's Fool" are among my favorites. One of those rare actors who was also a total class act.
He was a deceptively versatile actor, able to bring drama to comedic roles and comedy to dramatic roles.
:( hud, absence of malice, the verdict, butch cassidy and the sundance kid, the sting, the hustler, harper - i am wanting to see them all again, right now.
